Blues Point Jazz vocal group are Lorraine Silk, Lauren Dawes (The Voice), George Washingmachine, Dan Barnett (some of Australia`s finest singers), and Craig Scott (one of Australia`s finest bass players)
The repertoire ranges from jazz standards by Irving Berlin and Gershwin through to the hits of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Elvis Presley and Queen that have been arranged specially for the group by some of the top arrangers, Judy Bailey, Julian
Lee, Graeme Lyall, George Brodbeck.
The group has been a favourite on the Australian jazz festival circuit – Manly 1998, 2000, 2007, 2013, Coogee 1999, Bellingen 1999, 2004, 2007, 2014, Darling Harbour , Newcastle 1999, 2001, 2006, Jazz in the Domain Sydney Festival 2000 (to an audience of 100,000
people), Kiama, Sydney Acappella Festivals 1997, 98, 99, 2001, Darling Harbour events, The Basement, Soup Plus and many corporate functions.
Blues Point are also on Musica Viva`s roster of artists and have done many regional tours including North Qld, NSW North Coast, and Tasmania.
The group has recorded 2 CD`s – the self-titled Blues Point was released in 1997 and

This group mixes jazz vocal harmony with a walking bass and loads of humour.
